Slotkin Responds to Attacks from President Trump and Right Wing Figures Regarding Her Comments on Corruption

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) appeared on MS NOW’s Deadline White House and responded to troubling attacks from President Donald Trump and right-wing figures because Slotkin stated she wanted to go after corruption in the Trump Administration. The attacks were referencing a recording of Vox’s “America, Actually” podcast at the University of Chicago (watch those full remarks here).

The Detroit News also published a story (here) which laid out the facts of what Slotkin actually said and debunked some of the right-wing claims stating: “The clip circulating on social media cuts out journalist Astead Herndon’s question that Slotkin was responding to on stage at the university about whether impeachment should be a focus for a potentially incoming Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives. She never mentioned prosecution for staffers or prospective staffers in the exchange.”

Slotkin pushed back on those attacks in the interview on MS NOW and you can watch or download the full interview below.
